Here ya go…..from the lips of ‘the coyote’.
Hey, that’s where the boys played, at Coyote Lakes in Surprise, AZ.
Picture perfect day. Few clouds and just enough of a breeze to keep the sweat off my forehead.
OH….and at the turn, a free lunch. Hot-dog, chips and soda (pop).
The cast ? Billy, Fons, Mikey and Matt the Rocker. This has become a yearly tradition of sorts, the 4 of us.
Tee off at 8, and we finish just before it hits 100F, roughly 12:30p.
Let me be fair ? Again, Matt and I felt sorry for Billy and Fons, and we let them win the match. Why ? Simple.
Billy kept score. Fons was the cameraman and peace-maker.  And Matt and I drank beer purchased by….errr….
them ! That was plan A. Plan B was really an afterthought. Ahhhhhh……..I love America. The resident
Blonde Beverage Bitch. Yes, she drove up with her cart loaded with beer, and her titties/cleavage thrust out like
twin peaks.
I asked Matt, ‘Those are plastic……right ?’ He replied, ‘who cares…..any port in the storm’…..HA !
Coyote Lakes and the 500 Club rival each other in one way. The beverage cart always shows up !
The 19th hole was electric !!! Hillary and Donald….along with the media and whatever polls ? Â Matt had the final
answer and trumped all of us. He said I doesn’t care who wins. Too many layers between me (Matt) and POTUS.
It doesn’t affect me.’ Damned musicians ?
I’m looking forward to our next outing. We get along. It’s fun

September 4th at Coyote Lakes. I think we all agree that Matt HAS become the 4th Amigo. Always a great time when we get together. And this was no exception. In the end I think Fons and I tied at 94, Matt had a 99 and Mikey was right at 100 (don’t remember his exact l2,
score)…but Mikey improved the most on the second 9. Fons and I took on Matt and Mikey with a best ball format.
Fons has the scores, but it was pretty tight for most part on each 9. Fons and I pulled away late and I think we won by 9 strokes. Next time we will change up partners. In defense of the scores…I hadn’t played golf in almost two years. Though I did practice for 2 weeks and played a practice round at Villa de Paz with Matt on Saturday before the Sunday main event. I shot 93 at Villa. Coyote Lakes is a much harder golf course. While a little shorter in length…you almost never get a flat lie from the fairway. The ball is almost always above your feet. All in all everyone hit the driver pretty well…though all of us occasionally hit a “clunker” from the tee box. The greens at Coyote Lakes were unreal. The greens were in great shape but they had the pins in just about the toughest place to get to on virtually every green. Lots of undulations and big breaks. Everyone had a pretty close birdie putt at some point (6 to 10 feet)..none of us made the putt. Mikey and I hit it close on one of the Par 3’s on the back side. I was about 6 feet from the hole while Mikey was about 6.5 feet from the hole. Downhill (very fast) with about a 6 to 8 inch break to the left. Both of us just missed the putt on the low side. Ce la Vie. We had a great time and I’m looking forward to the next adventure of when the “4 Amigo’s” Rides Again.

First of all Billy…your French sucks….it’s c’est la vie. Ask Wendy, she’s married to a Frenchie. Also the name of a pretty damn good bar in my hometown in Holland.
But I agree, we now shall officially anoint Matt as the 4th amigo.
And as much fun as we had I have a grave concern after this particular golf game. Typically our resident Fabio ( EMC aka Mikey) has the blonde beverage girl all over him but this time around she only had eyes for Matt and she went out of her way to show off her fake boobies to him. And no matter how cool Matt was about it his golf game all of a sudden improved dramatically.
Still we all agree that fake boobies are a much better investment than 401 K’s
Oh yeah, we played golf too !!! As usual Mikey was talking smack how badly Matt and him were going to smoke Billy and myself and in all fairness we were still tied after 2 holes !! Team B & F ( brutal force) did indeed make chocolate out of team M & M , 85 vs 94 .
Coyote lakes is a pretty short desert course but Billy is absolutely right, generous fairways but not many flat lies. And the greens were pretty tough although I putted quite well, I think I do better on somewhat slower greens compared to the lightning fast ones. I missed only 2 fairways all day but both cost me a penalty, stuck one in a desert shrub on the second hole and drowned one in a pond 20 yards from the tee box on 18. Still a 94 with 6 pars is a good score for me although I would have loved to have at least one birdie on the par 5’s I parred. And it could be worse like finding the only rock on the entire hole ( Mikey……twice !!).
Although it was probably over 100 F by the time we finished it was really comfortable out there. I still love the desert . I take 100 F in Arizona over 80 F in most other places. Dry heat….yeah baby !!!!
As usual it was great to hook up with friends, play golf, talk smack, solve world problems, drink bloody Mary’s and bitch about them being too spicy. Can’t wait till we hook up again.
