In the TH Last Year the Winner this Week was Phil
I do have pictures of Phil not drinking beer . . . but I love the guy . . . and I can be a bit of a dick
This event has been on the calendar since 2007. It was known as the Mayakoba and was the first PGA sanctioned event in Mexico. Held in Mayakoba however that course, the El Camaleón, went to LIV so . . . you know how that goes. The first champion in 2007 was Fred Funk, who defeated José Cóceres in a playoff.
FUN FACT: When Fred won in 2007, he was 50 years old and was just four months removed from having won on the Champions’ Tour. He became the oldest winner on the PGA Tour in almost 32 years.
We are taking a pause in the playoffs this week to rest and recuperate before heading in the final stretch. So regular rules this week.
