This Week We Stay in Hawaii for the Sony Open

Defending Champion is the late Grayson Murray

In the TH Last Year the Sony Winner was Phil

While this event has had many big name champions, these days it doesn’t often have a real strong field.   The roots of this event are traced back to the Hawaiian Open, the first Champion was Bill Mehlhorn in 1928.  The tragic death of Grayson Murray will be prominent in the coverage.  Expect memorials and the wearing of ribbons.

FUN FACT:  A young Michele Wie was invited and played in this event four times . . . always missing the cut.

Four and an Alt

There is a cut this week !
