No one is ever here when I am here and maybe that is good. You know us old guys are opinionated, vocal and don’t care….well some of us at least. Mikey would be insulted with no one here to listen to his gibberish… where has JJ been?….with the monkeys?……glad to see Easy back in the fold for at least some of the time….hope Hedge enjoys his retirement and time with his grandchildren…Wendy needs to visit the US and see what we bitch about so much (our government)…I know of two on these pages that could use a partner…eh??….not to mention any names and to my friends from out west….the ones who hang on for dear life and pray for no cracks in the earth….red is good especially when it is a “materâ€â€¦and billy….please start watching Sons of Anarchy…I think of you throughout the shows…to the first Slinger I ever met….Phugg….hope the snow makes the nights warmer for you and the wifey….for my KY redneck friend who plays with scales….golf is a game and politics are for the crooks….50 years from now it will not matter…except for our grandchildren… and if your family tree is like mine they will not have the same view as you or I. If I missed anyone and I did…..mx2 and his lovely bride….retire south the weather and the people are much better…best to you all and I will see you next year!!!
As the California boy used to say….TTFN!!       See it….feel it…trust it!!        Sounds like wedding vows….eh??? Et

Just read where the pitcher Vargas was hit in the gonads by a hot line drive and managed to stay in the game for another inning to get the win. He was angry with himself though for not being able to pick up the ball and throw the runner out at 2nd base. His manager, Ned Yost had a great comeback excuse for him though, he said that Vargas probably saw three balls on the ground and couldn’t figure out which one to pick up first.

We are back from a hiking trip in the Swiss National Park. Think Yellowstone, but without the people or cars. We saw loads of wildlife, but this photo of a cow elk and her calf is my favorite because when i took it, I didn’t realize the calf was even there. I was using a Nikon D3200 with an 18-105 zoom lens. A bit of heavy kit to lug around, but it takes much better photos than my iPhone

Well never mind The Open.  There were other people playing golf today you know:-)  I was a little bit miffed to find I had been paired with the highest handicapped fella in our team – almost as though we had been put down as “the losersâ€,  but what with my lack of recent play that probably was a sensible call.  Very breezy down here in the south but no rain. Ribs (& both hips) still playing me up but made sure I took painkillers in good time being teeing off.  That layoff has certainly done me good.  For the second time this week, I played better than before the injuries.  A gross 88 which I will grab with both hands, thank you.  No mocking from you “playersâ€!  Putted a little too aggressively for the first three holes, but got the measure after that.  Very happy with all aspects of my game. My partner & I won 7 & 6, giving 2 shots to the opposition.  The team won 7-0, but we had the honour of the best win.  Eating some crow, as my partner played  far better than I had expected.  Sure, he put 3 balls out of play, which focused me sufficiently to win on those holes, but he more than won his fair share of the other holes, to the extent I had to jab him in HIS  ribs & suggest that I putt before him, so I could be credited with more W’s on our card.  He took it as the compliment I intend

Dude, your slow play is holding up the whole course! Move it along!
Saw this fat fellow early this am, when MX and I played speed golf. We got ove 3 inches of rain on Saturday, then they opened a local dam to release more water. Our course still has not recovered. Pumps are working overtime. We slogged through. It was lift clean and cheat today. Bunkers were filled with water. Playing again tomorrow with some lady friends. Hopefully I won’t need my golfing Wellies!

Here we go Slingers!!!!  THE Open..greatest of the majors and how fitting that it’s at the Royal and Ancient this year.  Crocodile Dundee once said “Now that’s a knifeâ€â€¦had he said “Now that’s a bunkerâ€, he would have almost certainly been talking about St. Andrews.  On the PGA tour you’re a pussy if you can’t get up an down from a bunker to save par.  At St. Andrews if you’re in a bunker you’re just trying to avoid double bogie.  Though I did witness our very own Golfer Deb get up and down from one of those insane bunkers (the top of the bunker was about 15 feet above her head) at Tobacco Road in N.C.  Too bad Rory isn’t in the mix this week.  Who ever has the lead tomorrow…good luck with that.  This is like an NBA Basketball game….it will all come down to the 4th period (Sunday in this case)…expect lots of lead changes, heroic shots and heartbreaking bounces.  THIS IS, what big time golf is all about.  The best on the planet competing on the hollowed grounds of the “holy grail†of golf courses.  Patience, accuracy and above all putting!

Hello fellow There…metro…Well I’m working the Quicken Loans PGA Tour stop hosted by Tiger this week. I am in transportation. Today I rode around with Justin Rose, his wife and 2 kids for a bit. Then again with  Justin and Sean Foley.Picked up Retief Goosen at Dulles but his clubs went to Newark N.J. He was on the same plane with 4 others from Orlando and they all got their clubs. Sean O’Hair and two others. Yesterday it was Bill Haas, S. Cink and a few others. It’s nice I get assigned a car for the week to get to and from the course. No shuttle buses and get to drive right to the players lot to park. Lot of hours but it’s only a week, once a year. So I’m cool with it. Talking with the players is fascinating

This guy brings his best golf mate home, unannounced, for dinner at
6:30, after golf. His wife screams her head off while his friend sits
open mouthed and listens to the tirade.
“My bloody hair & makeup are not done, the house is a f****** mess, the dishes aren’t done. Can’t you see I’m still in my f****** pajamas and I can’t be bothered with cooking tonight! Why the f*** did you bring him home unannounced you stupid idiot?â€
“Because he’s thinking of getting married.â€

@metro18 Fucking women always proving how much more giving they are than men.
Now this really pisses me off. Not only is she pretty, plays golf pretty well, but she’s a good person too? WTF? Making the rest of us look pretty bad.
MX, you are one lucky bastard!

Ho Chow called his boss and said…â€No work today boss…very, very sick.â€
His boss told him that he really needed him today. He said “Ho, whenever i get sick, i go home and have sex with my wife. It always cures me of what’s ailing me.† Ho said he would try it…
A couple of hours later, Ho called back and thanked his boss for the advice saying he felt great and would be at work shortly.  “By the way, Boss†Ho said….â€You have nice house.

Own up.   Be a man.     Carve your road to success.     Don’t fall victim to peer pressure.     Strap on your balls.
In short, listen to your parents, not your idiot cool friends.
Try your best in school, not try to be cool like your idiot friends.
Graduate and get a job and climb the ladder, like your family members did for decades….not stand on the street corner at 2am and deal drugs.
Think…it’s free and it’s expected of an adult…not act like your peer pressure idiot friends.
It’s simple.    Don’t run around the streets of Baltimore or Ferguson at 2am, stealin’ and dealin’, and expect the cops to sit and just watch.
Seriously, this black shit is beyond boring.   Who cares ?

The last year of 2015…
I was thinking hard about what to do for a thread. Best shots, best player, best event?? and then I thought -Â Why not the best of us?
The below is just a small glimpse of us what makes us and the TreeHouse what it is. I had to leave out so much stuff, but you know where it is if you need a reminder…. and a good laugh too 🙂
Happy New Year everyone.
May 2016 be even betterer for you and yours.
