This week the Rocket Mortgage Classic . . . A feature on the PGA Tour since all the way back in 2019 . . . when Nate Lashley cruised to victory over Doc Redman by six strokes . . . the good old days.
This event replaced the Quicken Loans . . . which had been around since 2007. Not a lot of history here other than one ugly trophy.
FUN FACT: In 2020, due to COVID, the event was played without fans, limited media and scaled back volunteers. Runner Up Matthew Wolff said afterward it was so quiet he kept hearing an ice cream truck off in the distance.
