This week the PGA Tour concludes the 2024 season in Atlanta with the Tour Championship.  First played in 1987, where Tom Watson took home the trophy.  From the first running until 2006 the field consisted of the top 30 money winners on tour.  The FedEx Playoffs debuted in 2007, where Tiger won this event with the record score of -23, beating second place by 8 strokes.

FUN FACT:  The Trophy is  a sterling silver replica of Bobby Jones putter ‘Calamity Jane’ . . . which TW holds above.

Once again we have a no cut event with a field limited to 30.  The field is handicapped according to their ranking.  We in the TH will NOT be using this system.  For us, everyone starts even par . . .  Confused? . . .  Met will explain it.
